Sunday the 8th April is Roma National day and has seen a number of marches and events internationally highlighting the problems that Roma and travellers face. These included marching on the Italian embassy.
In Europe “anti-gypsy” violence and bigotry is on the rise and even in the UK events like those at Dale Farm last year have raised real concerns among the traveller community.
