Happy day! Today was the first day of a new era where Northern Line passengers can get on and off at Tottenham Court Road. It’s been closed for some time so it’s good to see it open again although they’ve clearly got a little bit of work left to do.

Here we are!

Passengers get out of train muttering "is this heaven?", "I've missed you old girl" and "I can now die happy"

The trains can still get in and out: which is useful

The exit sign still cracked

The ceiling still needs a few tiles, or something

The station has an austere look to it, probably the absence of final finish on the concrete and lack of adverts

An old familiar friend

Going up

And we are vomited out of the discrete station exit
