On my recent trip to New Maldon I noticed this lovely piece of road design. Thank heavens cyclists are made of rubber and can stretch or shrink to any size they please.
Somehow it all reminded me of this classic bit of cycle-pathery from Holland.
That's not much of a gap
In perfect road conditions (ie no cars)
And as I was taking pictures a van parked on the double yellow and demonstrated exactly how dangerous this could be for cyclists
Thank goodness they all drive so safely in New Maldon.
