A ground-breaking collection of monologues by world-renowned authors and playwrights’ such as Maya Angelou, Alice Walker and Edward Albee and edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle: each diverse voice rises up in a collective roar to break open, expose, and examine the insidiousness of violence at all levels – brutality, neglect, a punch, even a put-down.

The monologues are inspired, funny, angry, heartfelt, tragic, and beautiful. But above all, together they create a true and profound portrait of how violence against women affects every one of us.

This collection of single acts is for a great cause: women. Part of V-Day 2012, 100% of proceeds go to charities dedicated to stopping violence against women and girls including Women for Women International and the Domestic Violence Intervention Project.
