Job Title: Community Fundraising Officer

Salary: £25,880 – £27,707 pa

HOURS: 35 hours per week

CONTRACT: Fixed 6 month contract

Use your experience of community and events fundraising to build on the engagement of existing supporters and develop relationships with community based organisations, youth groups and individual fundraisers.

ActionAid are helping to build a fair and just world where everyone can claim their rights. To achieve this we work with local people in more than 45 countries to fight hunger and disease, seek justice and education for women, hold companies and governments to account and help communities cope with emergencies. Fundraising events are one of the main ways in which we maximise engagement opportunities with key audiences – join us in this six month role and put your event expertise to good use across the organisation.

In this role you will support individual fundraisers and ActionAid supporter groups reach their annual fundraising targets and oversee the delivery of key fundraising activities, including some running and active events. You will build and manage relationships with groups, companies, organisations and individuals to maximise their fundraising success, providing an engaging supporter experience to grow their long-term support.

Experience of planning and delivering community fundraising events and activities is essential as you will be responsible for recruiting and motivating a diverse range of supporters and delivering planned activities on time and on budget. In addition to your events expertise it is essential that you possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have experience developing marketing and communication plans.
