Daniel Lambert is running for the London Assembly in the Lambeth and Southwark constituency. Unlike other candidates this gregarious and lively socialist is not running on a platform of improving cycle lanes or making things better, but on the simple policy of abolishing capitalism in its entirety.
Filmed in the Socialist Party shop in Lambeth, which is itself is a pretty impressive set up, we discussed capitalist, greed, racism and how people change their minds. I was struck by how Lambert focused on the innate goodness of people rather than problems that he felt needed to be fixed, which was an attractive and positive ethical message.
However, judge for yourself whether a focus on the cause (capitalism) and not the symptoms (all the bad things going on) is for you;
